Saidy Wins Twice

East Orange, N. J., Sept. 1— Anthony F. Saidy of Douglaston, Queens, scored two victories today to take the lead in the New Jersey State Chess Federation chamionship with a score of 4-0.
Tied for second at 3½—½ were Arthur Feuerstein and Bobby Fischer, both of New York, and Robert Sobel of Philadelphia. At 3—1 were James T. Sherwin, Paul Brandts, Joseph Richman and Mitchell Saltzberg of New York; Matthew Green, Sussex, N. J.; Philip Selvaggi, Palmira, N. J.; William Jones, Jersey City; Larry Wagner, Toms River, N. J., and Charles Henin, Chicago and Fort Dix.
At 2½-1½ were Dr. Ariel Mengarini, Brian Owens and Leonard Birns of New York, Lev Blonarovych, Clinton Parmalee and Daniel Fidlow of Newark, Atillio Di Camillo, Philadelphia, Dr. Boris Garfinkel, Aberdeen, Md., James Warren, Chicago and Fort Dix, Homer Jones and Nathan Cafferelli, Westfield, N. J.; Tom Brenna, Trenton, and Arnold Chertkof, Philadelphia.
