Chess News Bobby Fischer, 14-year-old chess master of Brooklyn, N.Y. has added the U.S. Open Championship title to his laurels. He is the youngest master who has ever won the title, and is the only player to hold both the U.S. Open and the U.S. Junior titles in the same year. Fischer scored 10-2 in the adult Open event, tying with U.S. champion Arthur Bisguier, but gaining the title on tie-breaking points.
